Chana daal 1 cup - Khatai powder 1/4 tsp
- Arhar daal 1/2 cup - Mango pickle 2 tbsp
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp - Green chilies whole 3
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp - Crushed garlic 1 tsp
- Kasori methi 1 tsp - Tomatoes 2
- Ghee 1 tbsp - Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Ghee 1/2 cup
- Onion chopped 1/2 cup
- Allspice 1/2 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Cumin 1/2 tsp
- Ginger 1 tsp
Method for Achari Daal Recipe
- First keep the chanay ki daal and arhar dal in water for 30 minutes.
- Now pour water, add salt, turmeric, fenugreek leaves, ghee, boil it well until it is tendered well.
- For making tarka, pour oil add ghee, add chopped onions, add ginger garlic paste for frying, until it becomes light brown.
- Now add chopped cumin, chopped tomatoes, fry it for 10 minutes, until tomatoes are tendered well.
- Then add chopped red chilies, chopped garam masala, chopped coriander, chopped mango pickle, mix it well then add whole green chilies.
- After that add lentil mixture cook it for 5 minutes then serve it hot.
