Beetroot Halwa Recipe

Ingredients

  • One cup of grated -------------------- Beetroot
  • One cup of raw ------------------------ Milk
  • Half cup of ------------------------------ Sugar
  • Two teaspoons of -------------------- Ghee
  • A pinch of ------------------------------- Cardamon Powder 
  • A few pinch of ------------------------- Melon seeds or musk melon seeds

Directions

  1. Put some ghee in karahi and apply heat to worm the ghee to cook. When ghee becomes hot,  put the grated beetroot into the hot ghee and stir to saute for few minutes.  
  2. Add half cup of sugar and one cup of milk. Cook in medium temperature untill the halwa leaves the sides of the karahi or becomes unsticky.
  3. Sprinkle a few pinch of melon seeds to garnish.
  4. Serve the beetroot halwa hot, but some people like it as cold. So do serve as you like.
