
INGREDIENTS
For Filling
- 4 cups --------------------- Apples (peeled and sliced)
- 1 cup ----------------------- Berries ( or strawberries, raspberries, blackberries etc)
- Half cup ------------------- White Sugar
- 1 teaspoon --------------- Lemon Juice
For Topping

1 cup ------------------------- Maida (All Purpose Flour)
- 1 cup ------------------------- Oats
- 1 cup ------------------------- Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons --------------- Ground Cinnamon
- Half a cup ------------------- Butter - Stick
- Half a cup ------------------- Chopped nuts (for topping)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Ready your oven before start baking at 350 degrees F ( or 175 degrees C).
- In a mixing bowl, toss the apples and the berries (if you are using) with the sugar and lemon juice. Keep it aside.
- In another mixing bowl, combine the all purpose flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Add the butter to this and knead it together till the mixture is well combined and crumbly. You can also do this in a food processor.
- Take a baking dish of your choice and press half of this mixture.
- Put the apple mixture over this and spread it evenly.
- Put the remaining oats crumble mixture on top of this.
- Bake this approximately for 45 minutes til the topping is end up golden brown and the filling is turn into bubbly.
- Let it rest for about half an hour.
- Serve it as still warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
