Kaleji Masala Fry


1/2 Kg ----------------------- Beef / mutton liver-washed and wiped dry 

1/2 tsp ----------------------- Ginger paste 

1/2 tsp ----------------------- Garlic paste 

1/2 tsp ----------------------- Chilli powder

1 tsp -------------------------- Kusoori Mathi

1/4 cup ---------------------- Yoghurt 

1/4 tsp ------------------------ Garam masala

Salt ---------------------------- As per your taste 

2 Tbsp ------------------------ Ghee

1 cup -------------------------- Grated onions 

2 Tbsp ------------------------- Coriander leaves

1 piece ------------------------ Lemon-wedges to garnish


  1. Cut the liver into small pieces and mix in the ginger, garlic, chilli powder, yoghurt, garam masala, kusoori mathi and salt. 
  2. Heat the ghee oil as you preferred one, add the onions and saute till light golden brown. 
  3. Add the liver mixture and saute till the fat separates. 
  4. Add 1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 5 minutes. 
  5. Stir-fry to dry the water completely, and separate the fat. 
  6. Serve garnished with coriander leaves, ginger sticks and lemon slices.
