Dum Paneer Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • One tsp oil
  • Four piece cloves 
  • Four green cardamoms
  • One inch piece cinnamon
  • One onion brown fried and blended in water to make thick paste
  • One tsp ginger paste, One tsp garlic paste with four green chillies
  • Three tbsp yogurt
  • One tsp coriander powder
  • One tsp black pepper powder
  • Half tsp of cumin powder
  • One tsp salt
  • Two tbsp cream
  • Quarter tsp of  paprika
  • Quarter tsp haldi / turmeric
  • Quarter tsp garam masala
  • 250 gm paneer
  • Coriander and fresh mint leaves to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First, heat oil in a wok or pan, add the cloves, cardamoms and cinnamon then stir till nice fragrant comes out.
  2. Now add onion paste into it and cook them well, meanwhile add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste.
  3. Saute all of these ingredients put in the wok of above two steps.
  4. Afterward add yogurt into it and cook well.
  5. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, haldi and red chilli or paprika.
  6. Add salt as per your taste. Now add cottage cheese cubes and cream with half cup of water.
  7. Seal the pan with foil and put a lid on top for two minutes. Now reduce flame to low and let it simmer for ten minutes.
  8. Now open the lid and cook further until its dry it up.
  9. Check for salt, if needed then add more.
  10. Serve this dish and garnished with coriander and mint leaves.
