Chicken Wali Daal Recipe

Ingredients
  • Chicken -------------------------- 1 kg
  • Gram Lentils (boiled) --------- 250 gram
  • Oil --------------------------------- half cup
  • Clarified Butter ----------------- 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon ------------------------1 stick
  • Cloves ---------------------------- 4 
  • Onions (chopped) ------------- 2 medium size
  • Fresh Lemon Juice ----------- ¼ cup
  • Garlic (chopped) --------------- 1 tbsp
  • Ginger (chopped) -------------- 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes ------------------------ 3 medium size
  • Salt -------------------------------- 1 ½ tsp
  • Red Chili Powder--------------- 2 tsp
  • Turmeric -------------------------  ½ tsp
  • All spices ------------------------ 1 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves (chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilies (chopped) ----- 1 tbsp

 

DIRECTIONS
  1. Take a wok or a karahi to heat oil and clarified butter, adding clove and cinnamon with chopped onion, garlic.
  2. Deep fry onions untill it turn lightly golden then add chicken fry for five minutes and put crushed tomatoes and dry seasonings fry untill oils occur top.
  3. Add one of cup water cover the lid and cook untill chicken becomes tender.
  4. Now in boiled daal add fresh lemon juice, chopped coriander and green chilies cover for few minutes and cook untill done serve Chicken daal hot with Roti or Naan.
