Methi Garlic Kulcha


  • 2 cup  of regular wheat flour
  • 3-4 tbsp of chopped methi leaves 
  • 2 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • salt as to taste
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of fresh yogurt
  • warm water for knead
  1. By using sieve or chalni to wheat plain flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Combine in a mixing bowl. Add minced garlic, chopped methi leaves and sugar.
  3. Mix them very well. Now add curd and knead well. Add olive oil and enough warm water.
  4. Knead to a smooth dough. Cover it and keep aside for 1 hour. Divide the dough into equal sized balls.
  5. Take a ball and dust with flour. Flatten the ball and roll it thin using roller pin. Heat a tava or frying pan.
  6. The tava should be very hot so keep it on high flame for few mins.
  7. Take the rolled out kulcha and place it over hot tava.
  8. Cook on medium flame now onwards. Once small bubble starts appearing, turn the other side and using brush apply ghee.  
  9. Once brown spots form on both the sides, remove from the heat and brush with little oil/ghee. Proceed with other kulcha.
  10. Serve hot with any curry or chattni as you like.
