Achari Daal Recipe

Ingredients :                                                            Ingredient For Tarka:

  • Chana daal  1 cup                                                   - Khatai powder  1/4 tsp

  • Arhar daal  1/2 cup                                                  - Mango pickle  2 tbsp
  • Turmeric  1/2 tsp                                                     - Green chilies whole  3
  • Salt  1 1/2 tsp                                                         - Crushed garlic  1 tsp
  • Kasori methi  1 tsp                                                   - Tomatoes  2 
  • Ghee  1 tbsp                                                           - Coriander powder  1/2 tsp
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Onion chopped 1/2 cup
  • Allspice  1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder  1 tsp
  • Cumin   1/2 tsp
  • Ginger  1 tsp

Method for Achari Daal Recipe

  • First keep the chanay ki daal and arhar dal in water for 30 minutes.
  • Now pour water, add salt, turmeric, fenugreek leaves, ghee, boil it well until it is tendered well.
  • For making tarka, pour oil add ghee, add chopped onions, add ginger garlic paste for frying, until it becomes light brown.
  • Now add chopped cumin, chopped tomatoes, fry it for 10 minutes, until tomatoes are tendered well.
  • Then add chopped red chilies, chopped garam masala, chopped coriander, chopped mango pickle, mix it well then add whole green chilies.
  • After that add lentil mixture cook it for 5 minutes then serve it hot.
